IBG's latest free webcast
Quantitative Research on Fingerprint Friction Ridge
Patterns: Level III Features Analysis, will be held Thursday,
August 28th, at 1 pm EST. This webcast is designed for those with a
background understanding of fingerprint analysis.
As the cost of
high-resolution fingerprint scanners drops, matching software will increasingly
take advantage of the micro-features formerly utilized only by forensic
examiners. This discussion will incorporate the extraction and matching of Level
III fingerprint features and how such micro-feature data may be incorporated
into a high-confidence biometric system. The software discussed was developed by
IBG under a grant from the National Institute of Justice and is available to the
public at no cost. IBG Consultant Mike Chaberski will spend 30 minutes
discussing Level III feature analysis, including:
